Becoming a mother is one of the most memorable times in a woman’s life. The feeling of caring for, loving and nurturing a life in your womb cannot be explained. It’s not one emotion that can be summarized as joy of the arrival, or that of exhaustion for getting tired soon with any physical activity, or of concern for the health of arrival of the little baby girl or boy. Rather it’s a bundle of emotions, some or whole of which can trigger anytime, in many combinations. If you have ever disagreed or messed with a pregnant woman’s thoughts, you will have surely faced this concoction of emotions.

I’m a proud mother and a photographer, becoming so in the same order. And often I look at her pictures and wonder, “where did my little newborn princess go?”, or “where are our pictures together?”. Time waits for no one and it moves even faster when you have a little newborn in your life, who goes quickly from “gaga” to “Let’s go, Mommy”. What I miss even more is that I was behind the camera all the time, taking pictures of my little baby waiting hours for her to sleep so I could arrange the area for the pictures. But no sooner had I finished setting up, it was time for the little angel’s feeding.

So, don’t stand behind. Come out in front and take some pictures with your little baby, whether she’s still kicking inside or smiling outside.

Cuddle her, kiss her, and let her sleep in the cutest pose that one ever saw. You just think about the poses, the colors, and dream up the many suggestions for ways in which you would like to capture these moments, and leave the rest to me. Just ask parents of the cuties shown below, just make sure you wait for their smile to subside first.
